Congratulations are in order as our accounting expert, Lucy Mountain, has passed her Level 4 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification!
Lucy started in our accounts department back in January 2014 and was already part way through her Level 4 studies. She began on AAT Level 2 in October 2010 and has worked extremely hard for the last three years to achieve her latest qualification.
Explains Lucy: “My mum’s an accountant and I always said I’d never follow in her footsteps, I changed my mind at school and I’ve not looked back since. I’m a really organised person and I think that helps when it comes to accounting.
“My next goal is to become a chartered accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. I’ve opted for a distance-learning course that will take me five years to complete since I work full-time. It’s going to be hard work but with the support of my colleagues at Centa, I know I’ll get there!”
Concludes Anne Norcliffe, office and purchasing manager at Centa: “We’re all really proud of Lucy. Not many people reach AAT Level 4 so it’s a huge achievement. As a business, we’ve always focused on supporting our people to reach their full potential so we’re right behind Lucy with her ambition to gain chartered status.”
