About Us
TAMA has been manufacturing lever presses, tooling and punching tools since 1970. What started as subcontract tooling work grew, within a few years, into our own product range: hand punching tools, DIN rail shears and pneumatic lever presses. More than 50 years on, we still design and build every one of them at our factory in Denmark.
Today TAMA sells worldwide, with 80% of our output going for export. Our tools are used by manufacturers, electrical panel builders and workshops across Europe and beyond, wherever a job calls for precise, reliable punching or pressing equipment that holds up under daily use.
We keep every core competency in house: design, tooling, machining, assembly and testing. That's not just tradition, it's a deliberate choice. Building everything ourselves means we control delivery times, hold quality where we want it, and manage cost and risk far better than if we relied on outside suppliers for critical parts. It also means when a customer needs something changed, we can actually change it, rather than waiting on someone else's production schedule.
Standard products cover most needs, but we also build to order. Send us a sample or a drawing of what you're trying to achieve and we'll put together a non-binding quote free of charge. It's a big part of what we do, and a big part of why customers keep coming back.
Quality and durability come first in everything we make. Our products are built to last for years of hard use, not just to pass inspection on day one. As our CEO Frank Söllmann puts it, the focus has always been on delivering the right product at the right price, with a delivery time that actually works for the customer.
