Injection Moulding Solutions For Complex Geometry Parts
Injection Moulding Solutions For Complex Geometry PartsComplex geometry pushes both mould design and material flow to their limits, which is exactly where an experienced in house toolroom earns its value. Andel Plastics produces components with genuinely complex geometry from our Birmingham facility, using machines from 50 to 200 tonnes and mouldflow analysis to understand how a design will actually fill and cool before tooling is finalised. Our in house toolroom then designs tooling specifically around that geometry, addressing undercuts, thin walls or unusual features that a generic tool design would struggle to produce reliably. Where a complex part cannot be moulded in one piece, we can bring ultrasonic welding or overmoulding into the process to join components after moulding instead. Real time monitoring keeps quality consistent even on parts where a small variation could visibly affect fit or function. For manufacturers designing components with genuinely difficult geometry, this combination of upfront analysis and in house tooling expertise is built to solve problems a standard moulding process would not be equipped to handle.
