About Us
Harrison Silverdale was founded by John Harrison in 1982 with a clear aim: supply the manufacturing industry with engineered fastening solutions it could rely on. Over four decades later, that founding principle still drives the business.
We're based in Dronfield, Sheffield, and from here we serve OEMs and distributors right across Europe and North America. Our reputation has been built the hard way, through consistent quality and reliability on every order, not just the big ones.
Fasteners are our core. We supply threaded inserts for plastics, composites and sheet metal, thread forming screws, spring steel fasteners and electronic hardware. Our turned parts, machined from brass, stainless steel and steel, are produced to tight tolerances because in this industry, close enough isn't good enough.
We're not just a catalogue business. Our in-house design service means customers get real engineering support, not just a parts list. From initial concept through 3D modelling, prototyping and performance testing, our CAD team works alongside you to develop tailor-made components that fit the job first time. It's a service few suppliers our size can match.
Our product range stretches beyond the obvious too. Climbing wall fasteners, designed specifically for use with climbing holds, are one example of how we apply the same precision engineering to niche applications as we do to our core industrial ranges.
Quality isn't a slogan here. We're ISO 9001 certified, and that discipline runs through everything from raw material sourcing to final inspection. We've also recently implemented a new MRP system to strengthen how we manage stock, data and customer service, so the business keeps pace with the standards our customers expect.
Whatever sector you work in, if it needs fastening, joining or a precision turned part, chances are we've already solved a similar problem for someone else. Get in touch and let's talk about yours.
