High Frequency Plastic Welding
High Frequency Plastic WeldingHigh frequency vibration is what actually fuses two plastic components together in ultrasonic welding, and getting that frequency and amplitude right for each specific part is where the real skill lies. Andel Plastics carries out high frequency plastic welding from our Birmingham facility, developing bespoke welding horn technology tailored to the geometry, wall thickness and material of each component rather than applying a fixed generic setup. The result is a strong, consistent polymer bond produced in seconds, well suited to components where overmoulding or single shot tooling would be impractical or unnecessarily expensive to tool up for. Because the process generates the bond through vibration rather than an added adhesive, there is no drying time, no solvent handling, and no separate bonding material to manage during production. Supported by our own injection moulding facility and in house toolroom, we can move a component from initial mould through to finished, welded assembly without involving a separate supplier.
For manufacturers who need a genuinely engineered approach to plastic welding rather than a generic process, this is exactly where our experience is built to help.
