Multi-Part Plastic Component Welding
Multi-Part Plastic Component WeldingProducts built from several separately moulded plastic components eventually need those parts brought together into a single, finished assembly, and ultrasonic welding is often the cleanest way to do it. Andel Plastics carries out multi part plastic component welding from our Birmingham facility, using bespoke welding horn technology to fuse individual mouldings into a strong, permanent joint without adhesives or mechanical fixings. This approach works well where a single, complex mould would be too costly or too difficult to tool, allowing simpler components to be produced separately and then joined after moulding instead. Each weld is engineered around the specific geometry and material of the components involved, rather than relying on a generic setup that risks inconsistent joint strength. Supported by our own injection moulding facility and in house toolroom, multi part projects can move from individual component production straight into welded assembly on the same site.
For manufacturers designing products from multiple plastic parts, this welding capability offers a practical, well tested route to bringing everything together into one finished product.
