Ultrasonic welding remains one of the most reliable ways to join two plastic components without introducing adhesives, solvents or mechanical fixings into the assembly. Andel Plastics carries out plastic component welding from our Birmingham facility, using high frequency vibration to fuse components together into a strong, consistent bond suited to medical, industrial and general manufacturing applications. Because the process fuses the material itself, there is no drying time to factor into production schedules and no risk of inconsistent glue application affecting appearance or joint strength. We develop bespoke welding horn technology for each project, matching the weld process to the specific geometry and material of the components involved rather than relying on a fixed, generic setup. Supported by our own injection moulding facility and in house toolroom, we can take a component from initial design and moulding through to finished, welded assembly without handing work to a separate supplier.
