Standard AC induction motors have no real way of knowing how hard they're working at any given moment. They're built to run at a fixed output, sized for the toughest job they might ever encounter, and left running that way regardless of whether the actual task needs a fraction of that power. Integra's load sensing technology changes that fundamental limitation.
Rather than adding external sensors or complex monitoring equipment, Integra converts the motor itself into its own load sensor. It reads the real, live demand being placed on the motor and adjusts the power supplied accordingly, checking and recalculating roughly every 10 milliseconds. This means the motor is effectively being electronically resized to its application and load cycle on a continuous, ongoing basis.
The practical effect is that a motor running Integra never sits there consuming more energy than the task in front of it requires, whether that task is heavy for a few minutes or light for most of the shift.
